CSA Terms and Conditions

Payment
I understand that once I sign up and pay for my membership in full that I have secured my place in the CSA for the season. In signing up for Potomac Vegetable Farms CSA share, whether I pay in full or in installments, I am liable for the full amount of the share. If I fail to pay the full amount on time or decide not to participate, I will no longer be eligible for the CSA.

After the date of the first CSA delivery there is no refund for cancellation. Members may choose to find an alternate person to buy out the rest of the season’s share, and the share ownership will be transferred to the alternate person. The alternate person will pay the original shareholder directly.

Picking Up Your Share
I understand that my weekly deliveries will be delivered to me at the requested address. If I am out of town and cannot find a substitute to take my share, I am to notify Potomac Vegetable Farms in advance so my service can be suspended. I will not receive credit for deliveries that I suspend.

Pickup time parameters are specific to each host. It is my responsibility to pick up my share during the designated time period. If I am unable to pick it up I will entitle a friend to do so. I understand that if my share is not picked up on the designated day, within the designated time, it will be donated at the discretion of the site host.

If I fail to pick up my share for three consecutive weeks without contacting my host or Potomac Vegetable Farms, PVF will stop packing my share. They will only resume packing your share after you contact them to confirm that you will resume pick up. There will be no refund for the missed shares.

Sharing Our Season
I understand that as a member, I share in the bounty and the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, or the total loss of all crops due to a natural disaster such as flood, drought, tropical storm or hurricane.

Email
By signing up for the CSA, I understand that I will be added to the weekly email list. This is how Potomac Vegetable Farms communicates updates and changes, as well as what will be in shares each week. Potomac Vegetable Farms will not be held responsible for miscommunications due to our e-mails going to your spam folder. Notify us immediately if you do not receive an e-mail receipt of your payment or your weekly In The Bag email.

All our customer information is kept strictly confidential. We do not release any information to anyone regarding our customers. We do not sell or make our email addresses or mailing list available to any other parties or companies. The registration web site is a secure site where your information will be safe.
