I just read the absolute most concise, informative and thoughtful piece in the Washington Post.
Bottom line is that this is murky territory. Read as you can, and make adjustments to your diet as it makes sense to you. No matter what, eating beautiful fresh vegetables in season from within 50 miles of you is ALWAYS a great plan! Still time to join CSA and really immerse yourself in local food.
We are just now coming out of our winter hibernation, just in time for the last (??!!) snow of the winter. There are new lots of plant babies in the greenhouse.
Today we planted ginger and sweet potatoes in black crates so they will be ready in time for May transplanting.
