The egg shares for the Vienna farm are gone, so the new registration form shows that. Also, a separate registration form for the Purcellville farm is online as well.

Survey
Hope everyone had a great holiday and that the new year is working out wonderfully for you. In our house, we’re still using some of the frozen peppers from the CSA! The PVF crew wants to hear your opinion on your CSA experience this year. Let them know what you think through this survey. YourContinue reading “Survey”
Butternut Squash Galore
Happy Fall, everyone! The two most recent newsletters have been posted. Note that the “In the Bag” is included as part of the newsletter during the fall season. Fall is the time of squashes, and we’ve got some good Butternut squash recipes to try, including a casserole that I got from Runner’s World magazine, ofContinue reading “Butternut Squash Galore”
Summer’s On the Way Out…
… but the PVF continues to deliver great veggies to its CSA members. Have you ever seen so many tomatoes? Our newsletters section is up-to-date (there may be one In the Bag missing in there, or something, but I think we’re pretty well caught up) and I’ve added another batch of recipes, bringing the countContinue reading “Summer’s On the Way Out…”
Is that fall I hear around the corner?
Can you believe that it’s nearly September? How exactly did that happen? Sorry for the delay in getting the newsletters up… I ran into some trouble converting one of them to PDF, but eventually worked it out. So check out the newsletters section and download away. Have a great weekend.
Recipes, veggies, and newsletters
Lots of stuff added to the site today. The newsletters have been updated and there are a handful of new recipes online. I added a few that haven’t appeared in the newsletters, so be sure to browse through and try something new (we’re up to 36 recipes now… not too shabby of a start). AlsoContinue reading “Recipes, veggies, and newsletters”
Sorrel a-plenty
I’m not quite sure I’ve ever had sorrel before, but there are some good-looking new recipes in this week’s In the Bag that have me anxious to try it. It was nice meeting some of you at the farm tour/potluck on Sunday. Isn’t it amazing the amount of work that goes into picking your veggies?Continue reading “Sorrel a-plenty”
Caught up and ready for a tour
The newsletters section is now caught-up with last week’s “In the Bag” as well as this week’s newsletters as well as a batch of new recipes. I hope to meet a lot of my fellow CSA members at the farm tour/potluck this weekend!
New veggies to ID
A handful of new vegetables have been added to the ID page: tomatillos, fennel, the mysterious kohlrabi, and Italian parsley. Also, Hana pointed out that I mentioned “Wednesday” a few times in my site updes. She reminded me that some CSA members get their veggies on Tuesday and Thursday, depending on where they live. So,Continue reading “New veggies to ID”
